Wednesday Night Salsa
6:30pm, Lower Harbor Park (Rain Location: Dance Zone, 1113 Lincoln Ave, Marquette)
Wednesday Lessons and Social dancing are free, donations welcome. No partner required for any of our classes as we rotate partners throughout the class. Social Dancing styles vary by week of the month. See the schedule below in our calendar. The class will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Weekly Social Dancing Styles:
- 1st week: Salsa
- 2nd week: East Coast Swing/Lindyhop
- 3rd week: West Coast Swing
- 4th week: Ballroom
- 5th week: Mixed Styles
Lindy Hop Progressive Series
8-9pm Tuesdays, Lower Harbor Park (Rain Location: Northern Sky Dance, 147 W Washington, Marquette)
June 3, 10, 17, & 24
This is a 4-week dance course that is $20 for all 4 classes and free for students. No experience or partner required! Class is followed by social dancing. Participants are encouraged to attend all 4 classes as each class builds on the previous class. The class will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Summer Soirée
7-9:30pm Friday, August 15th
Presque Isle Pavilion
Our second annual Summer Soirée will feature a performance of Salsa Rueda, a style of salsa done in a circle with rotation partners, followed by social dancing. Dress code: Fancy. Free! Suggested donation $10 (for the fancy snacks and venue rental). Check out photos from last year's event in our gallery!
